In my opinion, the Stowa flieger chrono is the best pilot chrono ever made. If only due to its legibility, and simplicity.

Perhaps not as useful or as good value compared to the Bulova or others, but an endlessly beautiful watch.

@danield8 - the white dial Bulova is stunning

I am lucky enough to own the Polar 42 version of this watch. It is one of the most beautiful, but disappointing feeling watches.

It's possibly just an issue with my model, but the rotor seems loose and VERY noisy. The miyota movements while reliable, don't stand up imo to what Stowa and others have to offer.

I'm sure the laco pro model is excellent, and I would love to own one in the future.

However I am bowled over by the quality and feel of Stowa, and Dekla (for the price!)

If you have a small budget, I would advise Dekla. If you have a larger budget, Stowa or Laco Pro would be the way to go. (Also Sinn/Damasko if you like the style)

The different brands have small design elements that I love/hate, and these are a great guide to which flieger is "the one", e.g. I think stowa and laco blow IWC out of the water with their hand designs.

Have a nice day :)

Perhaps I should move to Germany, low parking fines, good beer and incredible watches, what more do you need in life?

The watch is a Dekla Flieger, cheaper than the Laco Swiss models, and excellent build quality. Made in Stuttgart

Awesome! I'm tempted to get the very same, perhaps the larger case and the premium bracelet. Let me know how it goes if you get one 🙂 I can't justify another flieger right now :(

Stowa feels quality through and through.

If you value customisation, the laco pro is the best choice, and has huge WR of 200m. The size is critical to get right, so make sure you make the right decision with either brand.

The laco aachen/augsberg loom great but the miyota movement feels noticeably cheaper than the Swiss movement in the stowa/laco pro. I prefer the hands on Stowa watches.

Dekla is a good flieger manufacturer too! (Pictured 2nd)
