I have been interested in a Seiko milsub mod. However I know nothing of the quality. If I choose to do it, who is reputable? I’m asking from a position of ignorance when it comes to modding.

@Ichibunz
@Mr.Santana
@classicwatchrepairandsales
Any of these guys would be able to recommend pricing guidelines to look for.
Not trying to push any fellow WC modders either, they are just the ones I'm aware of..I'm sure there's many more.
Red5 watches I know from Instagram and his custom, handmade dials.
Raven Watches out of KC, MO is also doing custom mods now too.
Using recommended sources you could get everything you need and then take to a local watchmaker too?

From my experience the reviews on the vendors do matter and I try to based it on those but even then you can get some defective parts even with their reputation… I find with modding and aliexpress parts is really a trail and error… you can got namoki or DLW their a bit on a higher end but at times doesn’t guarantee you best quality either… also namoki is prbly getting their parts in china most likely
Thanks for the info
Ichi hit it on the head. I personally haven’t had any bad experiences with AliExpress after looking at the reviews from each store before buying.
