Parts arrival day is always fun

Decided to mess around with the Tandorio GMT a little more for a new look. Been itching to have this acrylic bezel for a while. Let's see if I will change it out again next week ๐Ÿ˜‚

Been contemplating doing something similar with a watch that I got last year which has a 38 X 30 mm bezel , the lume pip has fallen out of the original and I would like to give it a new look.

Maybe a steel one , the original is ceramic. It's not a well known brand of watch ( Depth Charge) is it easy to do and find the right size part?

Yours looks awesome by the way give such a different vibe. I'd love to swap the dial and hand set too but maybe just the bezel first.

Yes I definitely want to do it. And get in to it s bit more deeply too. Not sure where to start as I don't have any tools and am not sure where to start. So advice /help is greatly appreciated.

Cheap case back tool to start and sticky-tack for the hand reset to hold them. Tweezers are not your friend here as they can ping your parts to Narnia.

So had a quick Google. Depth charge seems to use seiko movements. This means you have a world of options. Head over to aliexpress for options for your bezel and dial.

If you are only doing the bezel. You might get away with not needing tools. A hair dryer aim at the old bezel might loosen the glue / 3m tape. And you can remove that. Slap the new one on. Sorted.

If you are thinking dial, then you will need to have tools to open the caseback and remove the hands. I would suggest the rubber ball caseback remover. Works on 80% of the watches I work on.

The tool to remove the hands is also cheap. I would suggest the two pieces thing instead of the spring ones.

Then you will need something to get the hands back on after you swap the dial. All available on aliexpress. You will need light, magnification and lots of swearing. But it is fun.
