New Marinemaster!
I had dismissed this watch based on the press photos. After trying one on in Japan last month, I fell in love. I sold a few pieces and ordered one last week. Loving it so far!

Yeah seeing a watch in the metal can make a big difference, especially if you can try it on. I works both ways actually. Sometimes it can make a "boring" watch a "must have" or vice versa.
I think photographs of this watch and videos of it do it more justice than Seiko a release pictures.

Nice! The SJE099 is the coolest of the bunch. The light blue dial with the horizontal pattern is 🔥🔥.

Looks great indeed! I only wish Seiko did a version without the date window, as I'm not fond of neither the size nor its placement.
I tried it on recently, too! But my fav was the black model)
Congrats, great piece and one of best from Seiko lineup. There are a few gripes that I would change to being almost perfect.
First would be to make a no date version.
Maybe the bracelet design should also be a bit better as the square case design and rounded bracelet end link don't gel well.

A bit more regulated movement for 3k would also be appreciated.
But that is just me, not taking anything away from your choice😀 Congrats again and may it serve you well.

I had already read all of your points in multiple places and considered them before buying the watch, so I was totally joking 😁 but I could also see why someone might not like it if they are excited about their watch and someone points out all of its flaws unsolicited. Depends on the context and if they were looking for opinions, or sharing a review vs NWA, etc. 👍

The movment has been running withing a few seconds per day, and is very smooth Winding. Quick date change at midnight too 👍
