It's a nice color. I'm getting a little tired of cardinal point numeric indices, but I guess they are period. I'm at a loss as to who is picking the automatics over the hand winders and why.
Gotta say, I like yours much better than the new one. Those numerics on a slab are a design choice that…well, it certainly wasn’t chosen to separate me from my money.
I actually like the look of the new one and I’ve been thinking about getting a marlin for some time now. That said, yours looks fantastic, I think I’ll keep looking at older ones rather than this new one.
the numerals look like SMD resistors (if your into electronics). I dont hate it, but def not one I would buy without Trying on. I think the plain no numeral marker dials are the best for this type of watch though.

Thanks! mine is the Timex Marlin 34mm Hand Wind by Todd Snyder. I got it a few years ago.
I like it but like the others say I like yours better. I own about 10 Marlins Peanuts X and the handwind and two others. Not sure my collection can handle another one. However, Timex is really impressive these days. That is all I collect, so I'm starting to get a little burnt out now I'm approaching my 80th Timex lol
I don't mind the look of it, i'd prefer hand wind to keep the thickness down on this kind of piece. I think they've missed the mark a bit though making a watch like this 40mm.

Ha! I was going to tag you in this thread, but you already beat me to it!
BTW you can't get a different type of watch now or you'll ruin the glorious alias you live under, Sir Badger.

I love the handwinding Marlins very much. My friend has one of the California dials, which I also really love. I don’t own a peanuts one, but I’d like to add one to my collection. i think Timex has really been doing a great job. I also think the American Documents is a sleeper hit. I would get one if they put an automatic or mechanical movement. I’d love to see some photos of your collection!
I'm with the general consensus that your original is better. I will say I am a fan of the muted green and blue dial color. Hopefully the colors are accurate to real life!

Thanks. I do like the color of my green. Though I do like this new blue one. Would like to see them in person to see how the colors hold up.
I love watches and especially the history of watches. I’m particularly interested in microbrands like Nodus, Raven and Halios, purpose-built watches like Doxa, Tudor Subs and FXD, and military era fie...

I really like the indexes on the new one. It is the first time I see indexes like that. And I think it stills in the DNA of the timex marlin

lmao! It's kind of like Superman and Clark Kent, but both my alias are Average Joe's. I'm such an Average Joe, even my alias can't be cool. lol
