Recently I made a couple of bids on a 15.4 lb lot of watches. There were many different ones in their boxes and many without. Nothing very special I mean there was some Invictas, GShocks etc etc. Then there was this. This is the best picture that they have of the Sea Dweller. The auction is over and I did not win it. It went for $1000 U.S. I know that it sold for that much because of it. I searched and searched to see if there was anywhere that a fake one could be bought. I didn't find anything. I searched because I have never seen a place to get a fake one so that it increased the odds of this being real.
Can anyone tell me if it is real or fake? I quit bidding at $160. Was I smart to do so? It's driving me nuts not knowing.
I have been collecting watches for a while now. I have so many watches that I wear a different one every day. Cheap to expensive, if I like how it looks I wear it.
I don’t know what that auction was all about but I can tell you a quick google search for replica Rolex will show you a long list of sites offering fake Rolex. There is no shortage of folks offering fakes on the most popular, and some surprising, watches.
For the record I do not recommend buying this crap.
And as for that auction, if something is too good to be true it’s probably not true. Maybe that was a real Rolex mixed into a big bag of cheap stuff but I somehow doubt it.
They showed the Rolex so people would bid on the lot ,,they used a bad photo to keep people guessing if it's real
That Nike looks legit!

Believe it or not in December 2021 I bought a lot and got a Submariner. I just sold it before this past Christmas for $12,500. There wasn't a picture of it either. It was in a clear bag of 19.2 lbs of watches. I searched Google but none of the sites had Sea Dwellers. It's a big watch so I don't know that they make them.

That could be it but I have gotten a good one from them before.

wow! Well maybe you’re into something here.
In that case win some loose some

Incredibly unlikely that it's real. There are probably some of their Godawful Cellini's that aren't copied, but everything else will have been faked.
I'm pretty sure legit watches worth thousands don't magically show up among 15 pounds of junk.
And if they took the time to take even a lousy shot of that watch they most certainly knew it was fake or it would have been removed.
Fake 100%
