Big Moves and Selling
I'm going through a large change in employment and moving from Alaska back to the lower 48 for a potential job in the next 3 months. My question is, how does this platform feel about the selling of watches? I was thinking of posting a picture of everything I'm letting go so the best (Crunchers) get the first opportunity to shoot me a DM. Is this frowned apon here and should I go straight to Ebay or reddits watchexchange?

I’ve been slowly and patiently waiting for a little sellers thread/group to start on here. Huge fan of WatchEx, but would love a spot where true enthusiasts can swap and sell! Hopefully keep the gray market flippers at bay 😂

Maybe just let people know when you’ve posted it on eBay or another site. There are additional protections afforded by going through them versus direct here.
Great suggestions, I'll look into those options. As for getting rid of pieces, aside from a couple of sentimental pieces I'll never get rid of I'd like to be down to a three piece collection. One everyday/diver, one dress, and one with a complication ( gmt or chrono I'm undecided).
While I’ve sold on reddit in the past and have sold guitars on forums, I think selling here is iffy at best. You have no protection as a buy or seller. Also there is no vetting here like there is on other sites.
You can offer here, but if it were me I'd actually handle the transaction though a place with protections for the buyer & seller.

Problem with it is, it turns nasty real fast. He said, she said, flame wars, rage wars, etc.
Reason I don't go on Watchuseek much anymore. Same with the various reddits.
Not just the B/S/T stuff either.
Full of piss and vinegar, crusty, sour, ppl or flippers and brand-dudes who bash anything that isn't Brand X.
And I'm def not saying post stuff up, just like the OP did. Nothing against that.
But a B/S/T wouldnt fo WC any favors, IMO, YMMV.
Akso eBay, in my experience is the only way to make sure you get the money. Yes fees suck, but it's security. And like cars, guns, golf clubs, whatever, it's always pricier to you, since it was yours and you felt the sting of MSRP.
No idea about the luxury stuff and Chrono24.

I really love it but I'm always torn between the hydra and neptune. Since I don't really need the gmt I usually choose the neptune. Those puffy indices and the black lacquer dial keep me coming back.

Fantastic points here for sure. I think that’s the reason I love it on here so much is for how civil it is.
Part of me would love the B/S/T here cause in my mind I’d love it to only be enthusiasts, but to your point the wrong crowd would likely be attracted and ruin it for everyone.
