Ever done this, and recommendations needed please

I’m guessing that most of us buy a watch, consider the strap it comes on, then make a decision of whether to look for an alternative or stick with the one it came with.

I’m in a position where I’m doing it back to front! I haven’t actually bought the strap yet, but I will. Now I want to find a watch to go with it! Is that strange or have you done it before?

Over the last week I’ve been looking for reviews on, amongst many other watch related things, Barton straps and Dan Henry watches. I stumbled across a review by The Knights Watch by coincidence that included a review of a Dan Henry 1964 with a white Barton strap. I don’t recall seeing many, if any, watches with a white strap before and I thought the combination between the two was awesome.

The reverse panda with the white outer on the dial went with something I would never have imagined would take my fancy. Which got me thinking…..I want a white strap in my collection.

Now although I’m on the look out for a Dan Henry, its not the 1964, and even with the excellent value you get from Dan’s watches, I was only hoping to pick something up for around half the price. This is where I need WCs help…..any watches out there that meet the Dan Henry colour scheme (and it must have the white outer as without, I don’t think the combination quite works) that you could recommend? 🤞🏻

The only watch I have ever seen that matches the criteria listed would be the Hoffman Chronograph 40mm, but I do not know a thing about the specific watch or even the brand.

No, but not because it's weird, but because I'm a watch collector who needs straps to go on the watches I collect.

That's me and YMMV. But now that you've mentioned it, it might happen at least once.
