Just turned down a Daytona, bought this instead
Alright alright so we know that's not at all going to happen. Thought it was funny was all.
I've had a very pleasant Sunday. After church I was walking through my City's Jewellers quarter and noticed that an Omega boutique had just opened up (2 days ago to be precise). Being the weirdo that I am I popped my head in.
I had one of, if not the most enjoyable AD/boutique experiences ever. Im unsure whether or not any of you have experienced this but in most ADs in my city (especially Goldsmiths) one always feels out of place. It always feels like the ADs know little to nothing about the products they sell, and just want to get you out of the door. This place was different.
After a brief chat with one of the assistants we began talking about watches. I mentioned the Bond 60th anniversary and he said 'because we've only just opened up if you want to go on the wait list I can get you quite high up on it.'
I mentioned I was a fan of the Railmaster 57 and he said that Omega were planning on retiring the entire Railmaster line. Cool thanks for the info bro I didn't know that.
He was patient and knowledgeable, allowed me to try on(and actually try out pieces, unlike Tudor boutiques where you ask and they hand you a brick of metal wrapped in plastic. I could actually try on (and try out) the watches. That Speedy is gorgeous. Me want. Me want. Me want. I have now joined the default 'get a speedy' club.
I asked whether I could get a Snoopy and he just said 'yeah good luck mate'. He was funny. This AD is a watch dudebro too, and once again Omega has bought my loyalty.
Anyway this post exists solely to say that not all Ad's are arsewhipes. If you want a new Omega, go to Nottingham. Theyll get you the hookup.
Far have I travelled and much have I seen Goodison, Anfield are places I've been Maine Road, Old Trafford still echo to the sound Of the boys in red from the City Ground

They are nice watches but for initial and long term costs i'll stick to quartz. Good to see you ran into decent human sales clerk.

I never thought you'd join the speedy club, and its nearly not too big, nearly. It just shows what a decent salesperson can do with a bit of chat and treating a potential customer with respect, can win someone over to the brand.
