Do any of you have a sort of "default watch" in your collection, one that just seems to get more wrist time than the others? And if you do what is it that draws you to it more than the others? Price? Ruggedness? Aesthetics?
Edit: I've now realised that I pretty much just asked what your daily is

Not that it’s my daily, but more often than not I find myself putting on my SRPG35 when I get home from work and when I’m puttering around the house on weekends. I guess in that way it’s less my daily and more my lounger, and because of that it does get more wrist time than most of my other watches.

Field watches and field-style are always good
When you can't think of something to say....say "War Eagle" and when you can't think of what watch to wear, wear the PloProf
Here finishing out the weekend with a quick trip to Home Depot

Not usually a huge fan of chunky watches but that seamaster(?) is to die for

Thanks and you're right this is the Seamster 1200 in Titanium. Despite its size it's very wearable, balanced and comfortable. 🍻
My Seiko snk3 got most wrist time, maybe off my wrist every 2 days or so, love the field watch look, plus the bad boy does not have hand winding
GW-5000U-1JF
DW 5600 for outdoor activities, and others for office hour 😄
My Seiko 5 SRPD is a easy go to for me personally.
I tend to gravitate towards my most recent purchase, so as my collection grows, my "default" watch tends to change. There are two watches in my collection, however, that seem to get more than their fair share of wrist time, even though I've had them for a while now - my Sinn 144 and my Omega Speedmaster Broad Arrow.
Yup. And I don’t really know why. Aesthetically pleasing? To me. Works hard? Sort of. Within budget? Indeed. Boring? Kinda. Love it and keep coming back more than anything else in my collection? Yeah, for sure.

a lot of scratches, a lot of history. Love my original F1.
I tend to wear my Navigator more than anything else right now. Working from home, and wearing PJs all day, means I feel less inclined to wind/set a mechanical.
My default selection are usually my Quartz watches, and that would be a Shinola Runwell Chronograph as a casual watch, and the Seiko SBPX101 as a dress watch. It's what I put on if I'm in a rush and don't want to set the watch. The alternative would be to put on the watch from the day before.
Absolutely love it. Have one on order from Germany. can’t wait!

I don't think you will regret picking one up.
