I think it's a great idea. These aren't limited editions, they are regular production watches.

I have never understood the watch community's obsession with limiting choices... If Swatch offered 5 different shades of black and 5 different white tones, sure, I could buy that it's too many options. But offering completely different colour versions of a popular watch is entirely reasonable, and a smart business decision.

I prefer the white one, but given the popularity of Mercury, I'm guessing this will be the most popular one. And on a new moon during the eclipse at that. Pretty cool.

The white really pops for me. But the black would likely be much easier to maintain clean for daily wear.

I'm of the camp that I think the moonswatches are better the more whimsically colored they are. So in this head-to-head I'd choose white, but in reality I'd rather a Mars or Neptune or other

The pity here is that this (moonswatch) is the biggest hit and the most money maker and important release the swatch group (not swatch company) did. That's really a pity. Breguet, Omega, BlancPain, Glashütte O., Longines, Tissot, Hamilton... and the biggest and more important creation in the last years is a disposable plastic watch. 😢😭

So as an owner of the white snoopy and the original uranus with the white strap - I think the bit that will age quickly is the strap - I think the bioceramic white case should hold up OK over time.

They are cool, not going to wait in a queue for them but will ask every time I’m in town. Prefer the white over the black as it’s easily customisable with various colour straps. Maybe a variation of the original moonswatches might have more fun

I know but I've owned a moonswatch and they are built to the lowest quality for the price I've ever seen. It's a shameful cash grab piggybacking on a legendary watch. Same goes for the Fifty Fathoms rip off.

I would rather stab my eyes out with spoons than buy another. My Earth edition quickly got sold.

I agree, they are very expensive for what they are. It’s still a very cool and fun piece but it could’ve been much cheaper
