I had to read this twice. It's a damned shame. Not the fact I had to read it twice, but because of what you wrote.
If it makes you feel any better, and I don't know why it would except that misery loves company, there are also now "foreign countries" here in the U.S. I now have no desire to visit.
People's actions there are so much worse than a mere fifty years ago, including the town I grew up in. I thought all this technology was to supposed to be progress, and progress made us go forward.
And you can't totally escape the insanity. You have to call it out and/or laugh at it whenever you see it. But you can, and must, escape it for at least a little while every day. That's why I collect watches.
