Was always a fan of the Panerai aesthetic but as funds were short went with the Gruppo Gamma microbrand to get the same vibe at a lesser price. Eventually bought a Due which I love and am now debating a preowned Submersible Blu Notte. Just need to save my pennies. This was a great video which may have pushed me closer to the purchase.
We have a Rolex AD locally which as far as I am aware channels all service pi ces to the now single official Rolex service centre (I’m in Australia) The watchmaker I use for my other pieces will advice a Rolex but if he needs to non original Rolex parts will only do so with the owners permission in the knowledge it might compromise future Rolex official servicing.
small production Swiss brand, taking its name from the famous British watchmaker. Ultimately owned by Citizen I believe. Makers of very unique pieces. Have always wanted one and managed to get this at a decent price a couple of weeks ago.
This vid encapsulates my view of Submariners exactly. I can’t warm to the new ones. I bought a 1967 5512 no date last year and it is superb but I agree I get a little nervous when I wear it.
