Congrats! Awesome reference... have you done any research on watchmakers that service a vintage Rolex? How did you go about that process? I've been reading about how it's harder and harder to service vintage Rolex because their centers aren't set up to deal with vintage. That they'll only work on your watch if they're allowed to replace everything to get it back to working function (replace old tritium, bezels, hands, everything that makes a vintage watch valuable in the first place)
We have a Rolex AD locally which as far as I am aware channels all service pi ces to the now single official Rolex service centre (I’m in Australia) The watchmaker I use for my other pieces will advice a Rolex but if he needs to non original Rolex parts will only do so with the owners permission in the knowledge it might compromise future Rolex official servicing.
