Which watch?

I'm a new member and posted a couple times and then the shit really hit the fan in my personal life. I won't go into it all. Still working through a lot of stuff. So I'm also shedding things that I haven't used in a while and using the money for things that I love like watches.

I have a budget of around $5000 for a new watch and would like to see what everyone's thoughts are. I have a couple of nice chronographs, a world timer, a GO Navigator, a Tissot dress watch.

It's been a while since I have had a diver, although I don't dive. However, I was thinking about a Tudor Pelagos or FXD. Tried both on and liked them. I do have a Tudor Black Bay Chrono so I'm not sure if I want to stay with the same brand. My other watch on the list at this time is a Nomos Tangente Neomatik Sport 42. Tried this one on today and liked it as well. The Nomos would also be something different in my collection.

I have a 7.25" wrist and like watches from about 41mm and up. Like I said I have a $5000 budget and it needs to be a mechanical watch.

Please let me know your thoughts and suggestions.

Thanks

Based on the watches you listed as “considering”, have you thought about the Breitling Super Ocean or Nomos Aquis?

Ok here’s my suggestions:

If I was in your position it would be the Sinn U1.

What Bond would wear if he was real.

Completely agree with the current Omega SM 300! I have the blue dial with matching rubber strap and imo, checks all the boxes you listed. In fact - if you decide to go retail, most local Omega AD’s (not boutiques) would discount (if lucky, up to 20%). Otherwise, you’d have your pick of the litter (all colors except green) on Chrono24 < $5k. Happy hunting! 🤙

I was just trying on Tudor a little today, the Black Bay Pro is very nice, the GMTs look great and and the Pelagos is crazy being super light in titanium.

I was just gonna suggest Breitling as well. That 7.25" wrist just begs for one! Ok that an an Omega Seamaster maybe.

Ok, I threw away the script and bought this today! Loving everything about it and such a cool complication. It's giving me much joy through a trying time.

On a side note, I haven't posted a lot here yet but I have been keeping up with reading a lot of posts. I'll try to post more in the future as this is a great place to hang out.
