Overall, there are more black dial watches I like, but with some watches the white dial is my preference. The SMP300s used in this post are a perfect example of a case where I prefer a white dial over a black dial.
The white indices on a white dial as shown in post photo are an atrocity, but I am generally a white dial supremacist. Black is so dour. I'm wearing one today. It's depressing.

Why are they an atrocity? I think it's good like this , what would you prefer in stead?
I haven’t got a decent white dial watch , I am hoping that Tudor put out the Explorer II style BB pro in white and a bit thinner than the current one in black which i do love and could happily live with if only it wasn’t so thick . In saying that I haven’t tried that particular watch on , just from what I have read and seen :)
C -- It depends.

For this pare I prefer white dial, because this watch associated with summer for me, so as white.

Yes
Tudor - Black dial
Rolex - White Dial
Dress watch - White Dial
So it really depends on the brand and a utility of the watch.
I find black dials easier to read but when a white dial get the contrast correct I do like them.

I voted Black but I love a nice white dial.

I find the abysmal contrast to be a major problem, but apparently this doesn't bother others.

I understand what you are saying , with the lume filling the markers I don't mind it at all.
