Loevhagen's "Small Watches" post the other day inspired me to climb a ladder to a top closet shelf and locate a watch case containing a dozen 25-plus year old watches. Seeing this 36mm Oris Big Crown Date Pointer brought back some fond memories so I wound it up, and have been wearing it for 3 days (still keeps good time). Yesterday I replaced the original leather band with an incredibly comfortable Formosa silicone band. This resurrected and rather unique small watch has become a new favorite.

It looks great in your wrist beautiful Oris pointer date
Oh boy… if 36mm is small, then I need to give my head a wobble.
Very nice!
monster crown. love it
That’s actually not that small. Small is 32-34 like vintage gold wrist watches from 50s - 60s. This one looks very classy and not outdated at all. Modern Oris pointer dates looks is pretty similar, even more vintage than this playful, colourful piece.
Love that thing!!!!
I'd say that strap makes it justice 🤘🏻very cool watch, does not seem to have the ahe it does.
Thsts a cool watch. What were the other 24?
Great watch!!!

It was a box of 12 all 25+ years old. I looked again and there are 2 other Oris date pointers. One is just 32mm that I wore a lot. My daughter wants that one. And a Casio diver I wore surfing in my early years. A couple aren't quite as old, but would be considered classics - 2 Christopher Ward chronographs that I think are from 2004 (20ish years).

Beautiful!
