AI Created Chronograph Diver
Lately I have been experimenting with various Generative AI applications just to see how far they have come. (I designed AI software as a contractor for the US Navy in my early career).
I asked the public version of DALL-E2 to generate an "orange dial chronograph dive watch on silicone strap on a sunny beach". As a fan of chronographs and divers I think it created some nice looking watches that I would wear.

Really nice and really scary. Absolutely would fool me that it’s real, but I’d buy the watch lol
Ahhh Haaa! So you're the one responsible of bringing Asimov's vision to life! I just hope youse guys built in the Three Laws of Robotics ... I don't want no A.I. exterminating us "inferior" biological entities 😉
What's also interesting is that it "understands" good photo composition. The wrist shot is great.
1 seems to have 3 pushers,2 seem to have 2 pushers, and another no pushers. The bezels seem useless for a dive watch.
I get the artificial part, but where does the intelligence enter the picture?

One watch it generated had 6 pushers, and really useless bezel. It's obvious its current logic says a chronograph has multiple small dials, and multiple pushers. And a diver has a numbered bezel; even if the numbers are all zero. Over time I suppose it will fine tune itself towards what humans expect, and then afterwards determine the same. The next few years will be interesting, and disruptive.

The orange renderings just look like something beach life guards would wear. Durable, lightweight, buoyant, bright and easy to see.
