The title of this alone made my day! I really like the color of the strap you have now, don't see a lot of orangey leather. Lovely watch.
It's just cheap strap off Ali express its stamped as leather but I'm not convinced it is. The hammy is one of my favourite pieces really comfortable on the wrist.
It is a great watch, but finding the perfect strap is a challenge. I have the version with the date window and the strap it came on is a two piece tan canvas strap that is horribly stiff and uncomfortable. One strap I found that works well is the top grain saddle leather with linen stitching quick release strap from Barton Watch Bands. It doesn't taper at all, and some people don't like it, but it is a great strap for field and pilot watches.
I'd go with a leather Nato. That way you won't notice that space between the case and strap caused by the long lugs.
I’ve got this watch and the same type of strap, and I think it’s amazing so good on ya. This piece goes well with a nato, leather strap or any two piece.

The straps only temporary I find I end up going through a dozen straps before I find one that suits the watch and the the feel on the wrist. I need to find a good quality leather strap for it as I prefer the slim profile with this hammy, as for NATO's I have a love hate relationship with them and a watch box full of them as they are not all made equal.

Yeah I sure know what you mean by not all nato straps being made equal. I’ve gone through a ton of them trying to find the right one. finally I found a single pass nato stLyle straps from cheapest nato straps called the “parachute“ strap.
Finally found a better NATO strap for it
