Where can I buy a Seagull 1963
I've been looking to buy a Seagull 1963 and when I look it up to purchase it, there is a slew of website that sell them. How do I know I'm getting the real thing or getting a "rep". If anyone has some insight please let me know.

Cost about $100 less than Long Island and it’s a reproduction like they offer. Did take about 3 weeks to make it across the world though.
They all use the exact same movement, which the real Seagull company sells to all comers. "Official" dials are also readily available from "official" factories. So no wonder that there are dozens of companies making hundreds of very similar mechanical chronographs. The expensive version with no display back is the "real" one that comes directly from Seagull, but there is nothing illicit about the competition. These are all authentic parts and the $200 versions are going to be 90% of the quality of the $600 versions.

This is the one I bought last month off of AliExpress…. 40mm with sapphire crystal and goose/swan (regulator clip), for $199. I have no doubt it’s what I ordered, I.e. the venus inspired ST1901 movement reproduction with exhibition back. Note, I’ve seen some online that look alike for as low as $20, that are actually quartz based and behave different. One give away is that they don’t have an exhibition back, hiding the attractive ST1901 movement (because it’s not)

Got mine from alli express. I think it was on sale for $175
I’m afraid of it being a fake watch as well but my understanding is seagull sells there parts to many people who put it together. As long as that’s the case I don’t mind saving the money because I don’t feel the Watch is worth more then 250
