The Invicta Pro Diver 12167

Hey Invicta diver fans, I just thought I'd show you the Pro Diver I bought by mistake late one evening and the cool lume it has.  I thought I was bidding on a Grand Diver but in the morning I realized it was the smaller Pro Diver.  Since I'd seen so many reviews about the Pro Diver, and all that I'd purchased thus far were Grand Divers, I thought I'd check it out.  I'm glad I did, as this watch has become my daily driver most often than not.  It's my go-to.  I love it.  The white dial with orange markers and hands...😍

(You know how it is trying to take a straight-on pic and the crystal has a cyclops - if you don't line up the camera perfectly, it looks wonky.  I assure you it's not.)

Image

Perfect size for my 7" wrist, at 43mm.  I feels very natural on the wrist.  Well, my wrist and bones.

Image

The lume is super cool, like Indiglo-ish.  Naturally it fades but one night I wore it to bed and I could read it a couple of hours later no problem.

Image

I'm pleased with the quality of the watch.  I paid $78 + shipping, and for the pleasure it gives whenever I look at it, it's worth every penny.  As I go through my Invicta diver collection, I'll post them here, just in case someone has an eye out for one and would like to see better pics than the standard ones on eBay, etc.  Not reviews, as so many have been done, but just the different models and some pics.  I'd like to see yours too.

Cheers! 🍻

Looks great!

I own the Pro Diver 35701 40mm and I love it. I do not understand why Invicta gets so much stick for their homage watches when pretty much every single brand out there is doing the exact same thing!

Some people love to bag on Invicta because of their other watches.  Doesn't make sense.  Just because BMW makes the i3 doesn't mean that the 8-series is crap!

When you look at the Pro Diver prices - the automatics, in particular - it becomes very apparent when it arrives and you hold it in your hands just how much watch you get for your money.  Looking at Amazon just now, they start at $59.90 and there are a ton in the $60-$80 range.  Never mind when they go on sale!  Great value on a solid watch with an NH35A movement.  I think they're a shrewd choice.

I could not agree with you more! I paid 90 euros for my Pro Diver, on the Invicta Europe website, and I feel that you would be hard pushed to find a better quality automatic watch for the price.

I have to confess that I do not like the oversized watches available through Invicta. I really do not like the Richard Mille homages, or the Hublot, or the licenced Marvel, NFL etc watches. Every single review that I have seen though concentrates ONLY on their Rolex homages, and I find that to be unfair.

Love the design and full lume. Good buy for the price!

So here's mine. Hmmm homage lol

I agree about the RM homages and the wacky Marvel collaborations.  An NFL watch is on my radar but not one of the weird ones, something more classic but with the logo.  They make a Pro Diver with the Steelers logo in the middle that looks about right for game day. 😉

The only BIG watch from Invicta that I like is the Hydromax, which is rated down to 1000m.  It's an homage to the Rolex Deep Sea Challenge.  It's enormous, at 380g, and tall, at 29.5mm, and has a gas relief valve on the case.  But I still like them - they're like bank vaults.  I'm going to do a write up or review here on it soon.

The similarities automatically make me a fan of your Deep Blue!  Beautiful! 😍

It would be interesting to hold each and compare.

I did another experiment last night and wore it to bed after blasting it.  I awakened 4 hours later and could still read the lume.  I had to concentrate, but I could tell the time and that's what counts.  How does the Alpha Marine 500 do?

It does very well. I go outside and come back in and that dial is lit up! The Super-LumiNova still can be seen at 6 hours faintly when I'm in bed. This model I have is a 2011 model which has that ETA in it. I love the brand. Like to get a tritium tube display someday. I have the Invicta Pro Diver 89260B model. Great bang for your dollar watch as you know.

I like your watch! I'll have to check it out.

Enjoy that watch!

Cheers!

Ooh that's a good one! The cyclops eye on mine isn't as good as your example. I like my PD a lot, it's a really fun watch for what I paid for, which is equivalent to am evening out by myself, not even with the Ms.!

Wow, that cyclops is really off, I can see it from here. I've purchased 13 divers (12 GD, 1 PD) from Invicta over the last 30 days and none of them have that issue. I guess it's the luck of the draw. Like the Tudor bezel alignment issue I heard on this forum.

Yeah I made my peace with it, at least it didn't happen on a more expensive watch!

Was returning it not an option?

I got it for like 50 bucks at a closing tj Maxx, a great intro for what I want in a watch, totally worth the lessons even if a bit wonky. Like you mention, even Tudors have to potential to not line up.
