Baltany "Military"

I've always loved the Hamilton that this watch emulates, so when I saw this Baltany on AliExpress for a little over $150, I thought I'd give it a chance. I'd heard good things about Baltany.

I'm glad I did because I can't find anything wrong with it. I know I'm easily pleased, but I have to have some kind of complaint. Nope.

Basics: 39mm case, 12.2mm tall, Sapphire, AR, 316L, NH35 (running at +1 sec/day (!) with an amplitude of 268 degrees, 0.0 ms beat error, on it's back only, 52-degree lift angle), blue Super-LumiNova, leather strap.

The unboxing of the very securely-wrapped package was a pleasant surprise, as it revealed a layered leather pouch, an envelope containing all of the salient information of ownership, as well as a nice spring bar tool with rubber caps, and a cloth.

I'll put it back on the timegrapher and flip it around to see if I continue to be impressed, but it's off to a hell of a start!

I bought a Baltany 1926 about three weeks ago. Not had to reset the time yet. Think mine has the Seagull ST1701 movement. I'm very impressed with it.

Even though I generally dislike copies, I like this more than the original for some reason. Very good looking watch, and a better movement than the original too 😀

I considered getting the Khaki for a few months but there were a few details I couldn't get over, the lug to lug, crown size, polished bezel, the numerals proportions seem off...

After looking to many other options, I found this Baltany and I was instantly convinced it was the one.

In my opinion the dial elements are better proportioned and it looks less busy. The black date wheel, the case dimensions, the crown doesn't stick out as much, it has AR coating...

Mine has the NH35 and it's doing about 10 seconds per day.

The strap is very confortable, my only complain is the buckle is too squared and sharp and it catches in the sleeves, I swapped the buckle for a more rounded one and now it's perfect.

Regardless of the price, it's is a perfect example of a field watch in my opinion: rugged, discreet, comfortable and very legible.

That actually does look like a decent watch I will check them out

I'm so glad I found your posts. I've been looking at this exact watch for weeks now. Going to read through all of them.

Really, with this watch I don't see a need to get the Hamilton unless you have to see the word "Hamilton" on the dial.
