Longines Spirit alternatives
I am hoping to trade in one of my watches, so with a budget of £2500, I am looking to get a blue dial sports watch, with a well made bracelet
The Longines spirit 40/42mm perfectly fits into the budget, and the flieger/tool watch collection. It could be the best in class for this budget (prove me wrong!)
I am wondering if there's anything from small/microbrands I may have looked over? Would love to hear any options. Thanks for your valuable time and input! :)

My first thought of good bracelet + micro brand immediately goes to Monta. Check out the Monta Atlas. Similar look right down to colorway. Best bracelet under $2000 USD for my money and certainly better than what comes standard on the Longines. There are all kinds of other options like Oak and Oscar or Farer, but if you want build quality and bracelet, I think this checks the boxes. Also, look how cool that rehaut is?

I think the Longines is a superb choice, the other brand I would consider for your specs is Oris, perhaps something like this?

I'm a huge fan of Oris, as of recently! I love the big crown Pro pilots, and the pro pilot X.
I think the Longines in comparison is better in many ways (finishing) than the cheaper propilot, and has some huge benefits for half the price of the propilot X, but fantastic suggestion nonetheless!

I went down this rabbit hole. There aren’t a ton of comparable watches with Arabics at that price/quality point. The Spirit is quite phenomenal.

They are making some great watches for the money.
Formex Essence looks interesting. But honestly I really like the looks of the Spirit.

I like that Longines option you posted, rather a lot. Check for preowed and save a few bucks for sure.
