For those of you with children...

How many of you have children as in young not forty year old ones😂 who actually have started to copy you or take an interest in watches?

Pictures are of my two (one of each hence the baby g's) kids watches that they've mostly asked for (one or two surprises for birthdays etc) only three are mine two g shocks and the pulse rate one

My son is too young yet for a watch but I already have his first two waiting for him to grow up 😂

My boys first was the rather impressive mrw200

I honestly thought it would be dire...

How wrong was i

Not interested even a little. 18yo daughter is all Apple Watch. 15yo son thinks they’re all for old farts, including the Apple Watch.

·

Too old to contribute lol

Enjoy the watch and yes the young ones! They grow up to fast!

Cheers!

My six year old likes to stroke the domed sapphire of certain watches I wear while he's being read to. My nine year old has been known to peruse watch content with his old man and offer his critique. He likes blue dials. Neither, so far, shows the slightest interest in wearing a watch... but they will.

My son has taken an interest and is calling dibs on various pieces. (Usually the ones with cool lume)

I’ve already had him do his first battery replacement to give him a feel for some basic maintenance tasks. The pride on his face when he was tapping the case back into position was pretty cool to watch.

My son and daughter both collect watches! 😊 (20s)

Priceless. Just priceless. I love that. Of course, now you can’t sell any of those watches, ever.

Yes, my 4 year old regularly comments on the watch I'm wearing that day.

He's only got two watches, a black and gold F91W 💪 and a blue digital Lorus sports watch with stop watch/countdown timer/alarm and 100m waterproof.....

What a flex 😳

My youngest's preference for domed sapphire definitely helps with deciding who gets what from the collection. Now I just need to make out a will...

Off topic, but if you have kids, then yes you should do your estate planning ASAP. Doesn’t have to be complicated, but will save your survivors time, hassle, and potentially money (and ease their access to the money at a time when they’ll need it immediately).

I don't really have a son, I'm only 21. But I do have a 14 year old brother who I recently got into watches, although he's not as into it as me. He already had a baby G-shock, but I convinced him to purchase his first automatic watch, a Seiko SNK807. I largely contributed to the purchase because it was his Christmas present, and I was also partly responsible for his temptation to buy it. And we both have an SNK, which is nice.

The 805 (I think the green one anyway) is the one I wear most tbh

It's top right hand one

I had picked up an Undone Calavera Neon in November of last year, intending it to be part of my own collection. When my 10 year old grandson saw it, he immediately recognized it as a "Day of the Dead" watch, and thought it was awesome.  I decided to give it to him as a reward for doing so well at school, and he was absolutely thrilled with it. It features a fluorescent dial, so  he carries around a small UV keychain flashlight to show it off. This is the second watch I've given him, since he also showed an interest in a Casio GA-2100 skeleton version back in 2021. Both watches look huge on his small wrists, but that doesn't bother him in the least. Whenever he comes over to visit, he likes to check out my watches, so I'm hoping that he develops a true interest in them.
