Field watch obsession

Lately, i have been more and more interested and obsessed with field watch as I think these represent the purest form of wrist watch time keeping. What do you all think?

Field watches are my favorite type of watch also. For me they are what a watch is supposed to be.

Mine is the 214270. The ultimate field watch in my opinion.

The Rolex Explorer 39mm

Love it and it's a grail of mine but IMO it's overpriced

Definitely my favorite. There is an elegance with the field watch's simplicity and legibility. Also, I'm more likely to be in a field hiking or hunting than diving, piloting, or jetting to other time zones. Most importantly, I don't need readers to see what time it is.

Love mine too. The perfect beater.

Totally agree👌the styling derives from the trench watch, first wrist worn man's watch, equaling a pure no nonsense watch in its raw first begins form ❤️

You need a CWC.....😉

Field watches are certainly among the most legible, generally speaking. I love a good field watch, but I need a timing bezel both for practical reasons and as a fidget. So, as much as I want to wear a field watch as a daily, I end up with my Doxa most days.

Though… I do have my eye on that Hamilton Expedition.

I can relate. Feeling the urge to get a field watch 😄

Cool, thanks. That’s where I have been looking. I think I’d rather go direct to them.

I’ve been looking at the Baltany. Where did you buy yours?

Directly from their site or from ali express

·

How's the Baltany treating you? Lately been on a Dirty Dozen research kick, but don't wanna commit to anything substantial yet.

It's very good for the money. I find the crystal a little cloudy

·

@Nikthegreek of the 3 brands, Vaer, Praesdius and Baltany, which is your favourite?

I’m looking into all 3 brands and can’t make up my mind

The baltany is the best deal followed by the vaer. The praesdius is nice but the crown is terrible! It's almost impossible to adjust the time
