Here I go again

Just tried this one , awesome but 5.5k …. Any thoughts ?

it's ok... a little plain

·

Had it on rubber for 2 years , love it , and yes it was worth it

·

One of the better looking divers IMO. And it looks lite it’s not to big for your wrist either 👍🏽

·

My biggest gripe with the co-axial Seamaster 300M Pros is the thickness. I really dislike how thick they are when compared to the 1990s models. Price is high when new, but if you buy secondhand, it's really reasonable.

·

Thanks guys , but at the price what are the alternatives

·

Worth it

·

One of my favorite SM, 😍 great looking watch, enjoy it.

Fair point , I have old bond version, I was surprised this was more wearable than I expected

My man ✌🏼

No brainer at used price.

But do I hold out for the white speedy

I think everyone will agree, whether they are a Seamaster fan or not, it’s one of the best divers you can buy.

As an owner, I can confirm it’s easily as well spec’d, built and finished as watches well above its price, plus you can geek out on the tech of a co-axial movement too!

Competitors around the same money don’t come close in my opinion. But, hey…. I’m bias! 😂

For me a bit boring but solid choice. What else then? For this money there are endless options, it depends completely on your preferences. For me, I would like a Tag Heuer Monaco or a Tudor Black Bay ceramic for instance. But hey, your money your choice, have a great weekend!

Incredible! Definitely my favorite color from the line and it's on my list to pick up at some point.

If I were you I’d do it like I do. tell her that you already bought it , hide in a closet and hold on to your dear life and the SMP with the new strap until it’s safe to come out.

Haha! Thx for the advice, honestly my wife is pretty chill about my watch spending, I’m pretty discipline. I am slow to buy extra straps or items that subtract from my new watch purchases budgets. Have a great day! I am semi retired, wife is still working, she has arrived at the point when her employers cannot package her out due to the bottom line. She gets annoyed when I say her opinion matters because she is still gainfully employed, mumbling that WTF just the facts! 🙃

·

Good looking watch. You can save $ buying used. Just make sure you vet the seller. Good luck

·

Not at that price.

Look at the grey market or secondhand.

·

Its a stellar watch - but you could get it cheaper used. Watchfinder is great for finding popular used watches like the white dial SMP.

I own it and bought it new - one of my favs. But, buying new for this watch is not a must IMO.

·

It's an Omega, it looks fantastic and there is no waiting list. It's worth it!

·

I’d buy it a $5.5k new. There are plenty of nice secondhands around $4k. I have 4 omegas and have not find any QC issues like Tudor. The movement is also superb. For dive watches, there are probably no comparables.

·

A favorite- but hit Chrono, Bezel, eBay etc. Find a reputable source for 4-4.2k all day long. New.

·

If you like it, buy it. The price is what it is unless you want pre-owned.

·

Mine is on an Artem sailcloth strap (I don’t care for the bracelet). No one ever calls the SMP300 a GADA watch but it is in my opinion. It’s has the tool aspect but with dressy/flash due to all the ceramic.

I still remember 2 years ago when I bought my first real luxury piece I didn’t tell anyone basically so the day before it arrived I was like : Yeah I’m waiting for a package please be careful since it’s expensive.

That when she asked what was inside of there and I told her what and how much it costed me , her reaction was priceless 🤣🤣🤣😭 but ever since she’s been really supportive as long as I don’t start putting watches over the important things in life.👍🏻🤣

The funniest reaction that I ever received about price of a watch was when I needed to call a credit card issued by the ad to increase my limit( store was offering 20% discount but only if you used their card), clerk checks your financials and records reason since I rarely use the card. I tell him the increase is to cover the cost of a watch. He was aghast said that I was nuts until he recovered his composure apologized for his outburst. However it was food for thought.
