I made a watch stand

I got a bit into whittling lately and decided to make a T-bar watch stand.

The base is a slice of last last year’s christmas tree, the rest is from an oak. I sawed and whittled the pieces into shape, sanded them smooth and finished them with linseed oil. On top of it is a piece of leather from an old belt.

In the pictures you can see my Sternglas Naos and my Hamilton Jazzmaster Auto Chrono resting on the watch stand.

I easily could have bought a watch stand online but I really wanted to craft something unique, use my hands to create something I can be proud of 😊

Very cool!

I currently have 3 watch boxes and want to create & build my own custom one or re-purpose an old tool box or chest. Really make it my own.

Nice work,I'd have a go myself if I wasn't too lazy

Nice stand 👏

I bought a similar one on Etsy,  It holds more watches, but isn’t as sturdy looking as yours,   The other thing is that the top surface is angled so watches can face you a bit when on the stand.

Well,I was going to buy a display box, but this is a much better idea.

And as I work in a timber merchants I can always find some scraps to toy around with.
