Turned off a watch due to the buying exp?

So. I had such a crappy experience from a local AD buying the watch in the picture SSK001 that I haven’t been interested in wearing it since the first...

Well the one I have does keep a second time zone I have set up for Australia. As well a daylights saving time on or off.

I will say this one does need a button push when outside to link to the GPS signals.

The newer ones are very nice and again a lot more appropriate in case size.

It really was pretty technology loaded when they came out.

There’s also the solar powered Seiko Astron.

Just the quartz function alone is only around +~15 seconds per month, but when it’s outside it can link to actual GPS satellites offering, according to seiko, accuracy of 1 second every 100,000 years hahaha. And a perpetual calendar accurate to the year 2100.

Also will adjust to whatever time zone your in as long as it has direct line of site with the sky, apparently even in the middle of the ocean.

It’s pretty much overkill. But it is accurate.

I have one if the first iterations from 2008 model sast 009. It’s huge, but they have managed to reduce the size significantly over the years with the latest models.

We’ll. I’m the 2nd owner from its 2017 purchase so some of the grunt work was done although sparingly.

Also, I’m flat out lazy, have too many watches so it’s usually one day here one day there with my watches. As well, I generally prefer experiencing things as they were intended to be from factory. Goes for most of my stuff but not all. I’ve considered the strapsco S&G jubilee? Just haven’t gone there yet.

It’s such a great combination. Stunning at times.

Yes. The dial is completely amazing. From muted to absolutely blazing depending on the angle and situation.

Beautiful watch.

Thx mate. Yes. I often forget to put it on as I said. But the dial is so crisp in person. It’s a fun watch without a doubt. Big for sure but kind of still wearable like say the seiko turtle is.
