Story Time!
So for context I’m 18 Y/O and I work at a trampoline park as a cafe manager.
So today while I was working the front of my cafe I was taking this mans order, and out of nowhere he ask to look at my watch. And of course being a watch geek when someone asks to see me watch I immediately get excited! So I show him my watch. Which I’m wearing the Casio pictured up above ☝🏾
Anyway he proceeds to tell me how his late father had this exact watch while working in the coal mines. He then asked he could take a picture of the watch and send it to his brothers!
I thought that was really and felt like sharing it with you all. It’s not often interactions like this happen so it felt pretty good to have something that brings back memories of friends, family and lost one’s

This is why I love watches, how it connects people to amazing memories.

Not yet,but I only started accumulating watches around 55 years ago. Maybe tomorrow someone will say something.

I love stories like that! The guys who used to show up for an early coffee before starting their workdays said anybody who wore a watch that cost more than their watches had an inferiority complex. The leader of the pack was an octogenarian lawyer who wore a quartz Festina timepiece.

It's always great when a watch is a conversation starter. My last one was returning from Dubrovnik, on the bus that takes you from the airport to the terminal and you are all crammed in together. It's that awful thing where people are a bit smelly after a plane flight and are lifting their arms to hold onto a hand rail. I always seem to end up with my nose being very close to someone's armpit! 🥺
A guy was wearing a Zelos Mako V2 Teal in titanium. I have the v3 and I asked him how he was getting on with it. He was so surprised I recognised the watch.
A momentary distraction from armpit smells 😀

Being able to see a watch like that in the wild is worth the bad smells IMO 😂
