commented onWatch to commemorate the birth of my first son!!·
I’ve been down this road. I originally intended to give my Speedy 1861 to my son for his 18th, but then I remembered 18 year olds are idiots. He’s bound to break, lose or get it stolen if he’s anything like the moron I was. I chose a Seiko Alpinist, as suggested by JJMM1983 above. It’s tough, versatile and pretty unique looking. I’ve got a lot of years left to soak it with memories and can’t wait to hand it over. He’ll get the Speedy as a wedding gift or some other occasion that seems right.
I bought the exact same watch today, to commemorate mine and my son’s first trip to Japan. He went with his favourite - G-Shock. Both feelin the love! Enjoy!
Mine gets the most wrist time since I bought it a couple of years ago. I hate to say it, because I have some sentimental and much more expensive watches, but I think it’s my favourite.
