You will be able to see what is in the display case if they happen to have exhibition models. You will certainly be able to see most Tudor models.

As far as etiquette, you can see everything they have in the case, but I would not attempt to try on 30 watches unless you intend on buying one, especially if the store is busy. No one likes to have their time wasted and if the SA misses a sale a result, you won’t make many friends.

Other than that, go in look around, be courteous, and try to discover some new watches. Have a nice trip!

I do get a bit intimidated at stores like these I feel that I don’t belong…maybe I don’t really lol

Of course you do. Don’t get me wrong it all depends on who you interact with.

You can try on whatever you like, but as others have said, take it easy on the sales people if the place is busy.  If there's nobody in there, I've had multiple sales people tell me that they would rather chat with a customer than have to "look busy" doing something else.

Each of their 3 locations is very nice. The Classen Curve location is a Rolex Boutique. The Northpark location is an Omega Boutique, and the Downtown location is also nice but undergoing renovations/upgrades last I hear . And yes, regardless of which one you go to you'll be able to see and try on nice watches.

Every salesperson I've interacted with there has been very cordial. Go in with a pleasant demeanor and a smile. Engage in conversation and ask questions. If you'd like to try on something, simply ask one of the salespeople if you could try on Watch X (and throw in a "please").

I think all of the feedback in this post is spot on. No reason why you can't look at a display piece & try on a few . I focus on the piece I am most interested in. When I was younger I would try on something on my Grail list, or not in the budget yet. IMO you will never own something if you don't take a step to see it, feel it, touch it, smell it etc As mentioned,  enjoy and read the store for activity levels .

I’ve only been to a few ADs, none of which were busy when I went in, and I had a positive experience. The one AD’s staff seemed much more into watches than the other’s and the sales reps were happy just to chat. Go for it!

I believe that watch enthusiasts should go to boutiques and try on as many watches as reasonably practical.  You see and hear about various watches but until you actually have it on your wrist, there is no way to know if you actually like it or would wear it.  I’ve had watches I thought I loved and others I thought I hated until I got them on my wrist and did a complete 180.

I’ve gone into a VC boutique dressed like a hobo and they still let me try on watches, probably because I was wearing a Blancpain, but still...

Ha! In essence though you should be able to try anything on regardless of hardware, but it does sometimes spark conversation. I like to go in and try something new or different and have a chat anyway every once in a while, because I’m a nerd and my wife gets tired of my presence so it doubles up as a grown-up daycare for 30mins or so.

oh boy!  Thank you for that guide!

Thanks Everyone! you guys made me feel much better about checking it out!

I agree, no matter how many watch videos i watch nothing compares to actually seeing it in RL.
I was gonna get the Green PRX until i saw it in person and went with blue.  If I had bought it online I would have been in for a surprise!  So now i'm really interested in seeing a few more before i buy!  Gonna try and visit their Omega "showroom" as thats more realistic than a Rolex for me, but I'd like to hold BOTH brands in my hand!

I should clarify that even though a particular location might be a boutique-level store for one brand (e.g. Rolex, Omega) that all their stores pretty much carry all the various brands they are authorized to carry.

Don't put your elbows or hands on the display case; I've seen it happen. But yeah, go in and try things on! It's fun! But if you're not planning on buying, the associate will likely prioritize their attention on others who are looking to spend. If that happens, just go at a less busy hour, or let them do their job and ask to try on a piece when they're finished up.

I think you've got the right mindset.    They're there to sell watches (except for Rolexes, which sell themselves) so trying on a couple high on your list is not going to be a big deal.

Walk in, don't be pushy and honestly enjoy some nice watches.
