Sometimes a watch catches you by surprise

I recently purchased this Scurfa Diver One. It was a totally unplanned purchase, I’ve been wanting to add some color to my collection. I usually go on the more affordable side if I’m getting something a little funky.

I happened to go on the Scurfa site which usually everything is sold out. I clicked on this yellow one and was surprised to see it available, I busted out my credit card immediately and after completing the purchase I felt instant regret of making an unplanned purchase.

Once it arrived all the regret went away and was happy I made this purchase, I have never purchased a watch at this price point and be so impressed. I put it next to my bb58 and really makes me think that there is awesome watches in all price points.

Has anyone ever purchased a watch online unseen and be so shocked of how impressed they are?

Pagani design. Really solid for the price....a bit overpriced now tho

Congrats! They are indeed good value for money. Bought quite a few watches online unseen; among which a yellow dial Scurfa 😎

I wish mine came with that miyota, but at under $300 I’m not complaining

I bought this San Martin mechanical chronograph because I wanted to try one of their watches that isn't an homage and I kept hearing about SM's build quality.

The fit, finish, handset, Seagull movement, lume, bracelet and bezel action all exceeded my expectations in every way and at around $300 I think it's one of the best mechanical chronograph options available.

Deep Blue Divers 1000. I bought as a vacation watch on near impulse. 40mm case, 300m WR, blue mother of pearl dial, seiko movement, nice and chunky at 15mm+ thick, jubilee bracelet, for 198USD. Pleasantly shocked, and love the build quality!

SM offers absurd quality for what they’re asking. Been blown away by unreasonable value. Breaks my heart when people dump on the brand for basically just….they’re from China?

This San Martin goes absolutely crazy. The quality is unreasonably good and the lume is insane. Also has a ETA for some reason. Gonna do a review next year

Scurfa watches are fantastic. Paul does a great job. Early 2022 I even fell into a bit of a rabbit hole and was reading the mega thread on WUS every day. I wound up getting one of the old 300m Diver Ones (pre-helium escape valve) and two of his M.S. models.

The watch that surprised me most was the Sinn U50. I thought it would be too big and the design too modern/ stark for my taste. In person, the size works perfectly and the design feels “right”.
