Ever since my son was born a little over a year ago he would always grab and play around with whatever watch I had on my wrist especially if I had on a digital with a cool backlight. Watches to me have always been special ever since I was a kid. I still remember getting my first Disney Goofy watch and I just remember thinking it was the coolest thing in the world. Now that I had my son and him being our first I want to share that passion and fun with him and I already see the spark in his eye. Every watch I own belongs to him in my eyes but I gifted him his first watch a few months back. A casio F-91W. A perfect classic to start with. Well today I pulled it out to see if it would even fit on him and it kind of does on the very last hole 😂. To see him playing around and looking at it and repeating the word “cool” over and over makes me the happiest dad in the world. Just wanted to share this cool moment of me being a father that happens to love watches. :)
I am a husband, a son, a brother and best of all a father of a one year old son. Got into watches about 6th or 7th grade and hoping my son someday has the same love for them as I do. I love all time p...
I wonder what the environment will be like, come school time for him? So many adults don't wear watches these days, I wonder how many of his young peers will? I have absolutely no idea.
Such a cool story and I hope to do something similar with our son. (He is 8 now). I gifted him his first Casio around 3 and a few other (kids watches) since. He even has his own watch box, believe it or not. I do hope the passion, love and curiosity hit him like me, but "time" will tell...
I will gift him most of my watches at some point but will also gift our older daughters one each as well.
One can only hope the "apple doesn't fall from the tree."
Great post! My boys are all grown up and gone. Enjoy your time with him. The time with him will blow right by you.
The theme is time!
Enjoy it!
Cheers!

So awesome! The interest he shows for watches only at one years old is pretty cool so hopefully it grows as he gets older so we can both share that same interest together. I will definitely have to get my son a watch box or two if he is anything like me 😂.

Only “time” will tell. It’s unfortunate that a lot is being taken away by iphones and computer screens with kids these days. My wife is a third and fifth grade teacher and some kids don’t even know how to tell time let alone wear a watch you know. Maybe he will be the only kid with one on which is cool as well. 😆

Man that’s the one thing I always heard when my wife was pregnant! The the time goes by so fast. I can’t even believe he’s over a year old already. I’m enjoying every second man!

Your a wise man. Have fun!
And enjoy the time and watches!
Nice watches dad!
Guess he wants the Tuna on his wrist already 😂
Make memories, that is what it is all about.
Awesome! I got my 3 year old a casio lrw200 and swapped straps for one of his birthday presents.
My son loves to spin the bezel of I'm wearing a dive watch so I thought that is a good choice for him.

I literally got that same watch for myself the other day. The one you gave your son. That may be the next I give to my boy. Gotta love those cheap Casios! 👊🏼🤙🏼
