My honest review of my Invicta Pro diver no holding back or snobbery too

This is my honest opinions on my pro diver. That I have had for a while now it’s my beater watch.

When I first got it as a Christmas present off my parents. After asking for one in stainless steel and black. I had already bought one In gold and black. My only blingy watch

Image

I was very impressed with this watch for the price I paid £69 for a 200m automatic dive watch. It isn’t perfect I found on the gold one. The case on top of the lugs. There is a sharp edge not enough to cut you and the brushed finish is a bit to rough.

Image

So when I got my stainless steel version I was very impressed with the finishing quality the brushing was finer.

There was no alignment issues with both of them. Time keeping was good but they both used the seiko NH35 movement. With custom rotor what looks good.

The bracelet is very comfortable with solid links but hol hollow end links and a stamped clasp with 4 micro, adjust holes. It was nice and solid when I first got it but now there is a bit of a annoying rattle from the hollow end links but not on the gold one that is still great. I tried running it on a NATO strap but with it being a on the thicker side side 14mm. Most of that is on the back side

Image

It ends up sitting even higher off my wrist on a nato strap. I do like the name engraved in the side of the case it’s something different you don’t see often and there is a few features like that like. The seconds hand with the logo as a counterbalance. The singed crown that lines up perfectly on both watches.

They are all little things that make this something different to just another sub rip off.

The bezel has no play at all on both of them a bit stiff though. But with dry hands no problems but wet hands it’s a different story. The coinage is a bit to rounded what looks great and feels good but if you have wet hands where is not enough bit to get a good grip. I tested this out in my local swimming pool I had some how knocked the bezel jamming in up. Ended up pulling a spring bar out while I twisting on the bezel luckily it was on a NATO strap so didn’t lose the watch or the spring bar. But the bezel insert popped off that freed up the bezel. I found it on the bottom of the pool so popped it black in and it still works fine now. That is the only major problem I’ve had.

So in over all review it’s a great watch for the money far from perfect but you can’t expect high end quality at the price point we can want it though haha. My main issue is that I’ve watched far too many watch snob videos about it that made me feel self conscious about wearing it. When in reality no body cares or even notices what watch you are wearing. Part from my gold one that always gets compliments “that’s a fancy watch”

My honest review of my Invicta Pro diver no holding back or snobbery too

Welcome I always try to be honest but you are always going to be a bit biased as you have bought it with your own money

If I wore watches purely for functional purposes, the Invicta Pro Diver would be 5/5!

Yeah mine is more of my beater watch now as I’ve got better watches I like to wear if I’m out and about

·

Yeah I do love the look of it I’m just about to try putting some thicker spring bars in to see if that stops it rattling

·

It’s holding up well hasn’t came off anywhere yet I don’t wear the gold one that often as i have to be in the mood to wear a gold watch ha

This diver for the money is a really good bargain I don’t understand why some people blanket dislike invicta, they do however sell some monstrous watches…..

Yeah I think they can be a bit hit and miss though because I seen the mad watch collector do a review on one and to be honest the one he got was a right lemon

I have few Invictas, but over time I've had quite a few that I have bought and sold, which seems a fairly normal part of this hobby :)

I think some of their designs are unique and fascinating. They also have a TREMENDOUS variety in both selection and price, which I appreciate in any company. Always felt my money was spent on an appropriate value (but learned early on there are some retailers that actually try to sell them at their MSRP, haha).
