Ever since I gave away my Max Bill, I've had a Bauhaus hole in my collection. Now I'm complete because the Max Bill line has been revamped with sapphire crystals and a bold new look. Do you like what Junghans has done here?

@Max you again have got me thinking in adding one more to my collection. I was on the fence about #tudor BB Pro and after your video I reached out. You implied I wouldn’t regret it. I love it every time I see and wear it.. I might keep this one in my mind.
Thanks again for a perfect initial review.
I feel like there is a euphemism in there somewhere.

Thanks dude! Yeah I wholeheartedly endorse this particular exercise in wallet lightening 😉

I'm stuffed
Yes, definitely yes for the sapphire. I tend to somehow bang/bump/drag my watch without realizing it until I noticed the dreaded scar. So definitely yes for the new glass.
About half way through the video I start prepping to comment "which strap is that!?" and then Max nails it haha.
I have been debating for some time as to which watch I want for my first mechanical chronograph. Had a look at the chronoscope perhaps 7-8months ago and then forgot about it until now. In some sense I want my chrono to be a bit more racey like a Speedy Broad Arrow Reissue or perhaps pilot-ish like a Sinn 144, but this just looks so cool in a more unique way. I love a good bauhaus design and I'm short on watches on the dressy side. (my Smiths Everest Silver Jubilee being the closest to dressy I have today). When I see the Junghans I think "That would be a cool watch to get" -especially with the black case 👌- but I'm not sure if it's a watch I'd keep for the long run. So then I start to wonder about it's resale value.
Other -perhaps unwarranted- fear is that from a distance someone might look at it and think "Ewww Daniel Wellington" 😜
Hmm, I am overthinking this aren't I...

And Junghans uses this sacralan coating on their acrylic that can't be polished 😞

The cool thing about Junghans Max Bill is that your love for it only grows over time in my experience 😍

Oh! that's good to know. I was thinking I'd just go acrylic and polish out scratches
Love the black mate hands and your strap choice!

Yeah that strap looks so good with the stern watch aesthetic
One thing I could not help notice is how well the day/date function visually integrates with he rest of the dial. I prefer the plain Max Bill over the chronoscope though, as the dial is a bit busy. Their Meister chronoscope is a cleaner chronoscope in my book. Also worth considering is picking up their ladies watches instead, as they are just a tad more adventurous in colours, and with 32.7mm dial still in standard dress watch range.

Yeah so well that I didn't notice the day function until after I bought it 😅. So clean yet so much going on in this dial
Love your video. I’m selling my Sternglas to get a sapphire Junghans now!
