Formex Essence 39

Been interested in Formex for a while now, and originally I thought I’d go for a Reef with an easily replaceable bezel, but the more I looked at it the more I felt it would be too bulky. And so I started looking at the Essence line and really liked the look of the green dial on this one. This is also my first COSC certified automatic watch, although as I change my watch daily that’s not an essential feature, but it is cool to have it.

With it’s 100m wr a date complication and decent size and weight this is a great everyday watch for me.

Thanks mate. It’s a beautiful watch really glad I went with the 39mm the fit is perfect.

I have the watch for almost 9 months. beautiful piece. it almost rectangle square figure make it very elegance. None of my watch look like this one. Good design. COSC so it will tell you accurate time. I wear the watch every day for several hours.

Yeah I’ve been wanting this for a while now and it definitely doesn’t disappoint. It’s a beautiful watch very comfortable on with a great bracelet and as you say COSC rating so very accurate.

Agreed it’s always nice to find a brand that doesn’t just follow the same trend as others. Also why I like Studio Underdog.

Congratulations for your watch and this beautiful dial! I bought the Essence 39 mm nearly 2 years ago with blue dail. The quality anf finishing of the watches are so good that I also purchsed one year after the Reef GMT with blue and black bezel. It is certainly bigger but fits perfectly on my 18 cm swrist. If you like the style, go for it.

Is this the black dial? Been researching and trying to figure out what color to go with for every day.

Love this color. I have a 6.25 inch wrist but I don't care if I get a bigger than my wrist watch size. So still undecided between the 39 and the 42.... help me please.

I’d suggest going for the 39. I’ve got a 7 inch wrist and it feels great. But really it’s up to you, if you prefer a bigger watch than go for the 42, I’m personally not too keen on overhang, and this works for me.

Either way all Formex watches have this flexible case that moves, so you’ll probably find either comfortable.
