New beater, old timer
Got a new watch today!! Cost me a whole $20 😅. I've been wondering if I would like a two tone president style watch (fluted bezel) and wanted to test the waters before I commit to getting anything above/around $1k. I was thinking of a 36mm, something nice but likely vintage. Since that's a big commitment, I decided to find something inexpensive that would give me the same feel and look of that style of watch. Scrolling through the interweb I found this beauty. Its an older model from Pulsar in absolutely beautiful condition, haven't even set the date, but I'm already starting to like it 😅. Adding it to the daily rotation to see if I truly love it 😁. Anyone out there ever do this?

Yeah, I don't know if I'll go Rolex though. I've been looking at Tudors which are between 1-2k.

Nice! $20 is a helluva deal! I recently picked up a similar one with a blue dial, and though it was relatively inexpensive, I didn't get it for that great of a price. 😂 Enjoy it!

Thank you! It definitely was a bargain 😅 I was about to buy one for $50 which also seemed like a fair price but this one showed up outta nowhere. I don't think I've ever hit "finalize purchase" faster than that before 🤣

She's a solid little watch and the photo doesn't do her justice. I often ended up in this scenario - I latch on to a particular watch or style in a higher bracket but end up with a homage or affordable ebay bargain instead. Some people say that I'm cheating myself but I do enjoy the experience because it takes a lot of research especially finding brands which tread the fine line of producing decent watches but with a low value. I've got two amazing (for the price) Pulsar's.
