Military Watches ARE Cool!

Watch People ! I give you the CWC Falcon! A fantastic Swiss Quartz Chronograph from one of my favourite watch brands! A mil spec aesthetic to me, is the best look obviously for a tooly no nonsense tool watch!!!!!

Any other CWC owners on WatchCrunch????

Not yet but soon.

Highly recommend their mil-spec elastic NATO's, really comfortable 👍🏻

This one is crazy accurate, even for a quartz watch. Since adjusted for DST (5 months to the day) it has gained 5 seconds. Fantastic little watch.

Jason Statham makes me want one.

So I'm conflicted here (and possibly ignorant) the Hamilton Khaki Pilot Pioneer Mechanical Chronograph is a re-issue/pastiche of the the Hamilton Military Chronograph that Hamilton made for the RAF in the 70's. CWC has an admirable military issue heritage but did they also make similar models at that time, or is this them branching out beyond their actual historical catalogue (not that that is a bad thing)?

It's been awhile since I've looked at the specs but I believe they and Seiko did at various times along with Hamilton make issued watches for various services. Whether or not it was this specific type or not. Pulsar too I believe.

Also like most vintage mil-issues in the past, there might have been multiple companies that filled the contract. DOD/MOD etc just might have set out a standard, and let whoever wanted make to that standard.

You're right - CWC did do a version of this for the MOD at the same time (1970's) as Hamilton along with Newmark and Precista - known as "The Fab Four"
