Can watch box holders stretch watch bands?

I recently got a Tissot prx powermatic and got it fitted where it felt perfect (maybe a little tight even). After wearing it for a few days straight, I stored it in my watch box in which the holders are just slightly large. The watch was able to clasp onto the holder fine without too much resistant, but you could tell there was some tension since when you released the clasp it would sorta “burst” open. 5 days go by and I tried wearing it for the first time after storing it. After I put it on, it sorta just slid up and down my wrist. It’s noticeably a lot looser than it was before I stored it to the point where I wonder if the holder stretched it. Wanted to know if that was possible or if there was some other explanation just so I know if I need to be more careful in the future when I store metal bracelet watches.

I don't tighten the straps and bracelets on those holders unless I can adjust it to fit perfectly

Your wrist probably contracted. I have to microadjust bracelets almost daily due to wrist expansion and contraction.

I have this same fear with watch boxes. Whether rational or not, I swapped the hard cushions for pillows.

Not happened to mine.

I've stored bracelets on foam holders where they fit pretty snug and not had any issues with bracelets warping or getting loose so I also suspect it's wrist contraction unless you see noticeably the bracelet links separating and getting jangly

When you sized it was it morning, mid day, end of day?

Also was it colder or hotter than today's temp?

How hydrated or dehydrated were you, are you?

Another reason why I really like integrated stuff to have a micro or on the fly adjust.

YMMV.

I want to say when I got it sized when I was like averaged in terms of contraction? The thing is after I got it sized, I wore it for like 4 days straight (taking it off before sleeping) and it never felt lose as it did now. Maybe I was just lucky and never got wrist contraction? Idk, my main thing is I just wanted to know if a slightly large watch holder could make a stainless steel bracelet stretch.

Honestly, I wouldn't think so?

I am by no means an expert all the components of a PRX bracelet.

Theoretically, maybe some links are just moving more freely?

I mean stainless steel doesn't get stretched by anything less than a lot of specific tools.

Might have to see what else others have to say.

I had the same concern, so I switched to foam, as said above. A watch holder shouldn’t stretch a bracelet, but I didn’t want to test it. My set up:

Most watch pillows, the inserts in the watch box thw watch goes around, are fairly soft. Soft to the point they get compressed or leave an inprint. I do not think they would stretch a strap and certainlt wouldn't stretch a steek bracelet.
