Which Watch part II

For those who are interested, I got my verdict today and the defendant was convicted on all counts including Murder. I got a little crazy and while I chose the Hamilton for jury selection, I decided to go with the Farer on leather for the rest on the trial. Whatever skill I may or may not have as an attorney, I’m pretty confident that my choice of watch is what put the case over the top.😉

Who said he was the bad guy? I’ve seen enough lawyer movies to always suspect one of the lawyers. Lol.

Just kidding. Congrats

The defendant will surely remember to do this next time.

He was framed!!

just kidding - Congratulations 🎉

I don’t envy you folks that practice criminal law. I’ll very happily stay on my civil side of the fence!

·

such a good one. still so happy with mine.

I thought you were the defence council? 😉

·

that's awesome watch, wow. And congrats on winning your case!

·

I think that a very wise and seasoned attorney thought the Farer was the proper selection.

Great result. That trial had to have lots of breaks, right? (I tried my first murder trial from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m., all in one day.)

Farer’s such an awesome brand, wish they were a little cheaper.

·

Ah, you didn’t show us the farer on a leather strap. Good call.

I don’t know…every time I see civil attorneys argue motions it makes me glad I’m criminal. At least in my jurisdiction the civil attorneys get super nasty with each other!☹️

No worries. People mix us up all the time. I tell people I’m a prosecutor, most people hardly even know what that is and then as me how I defend someone who’s actually guilty, to which I respond “…um….I don’t.”

We had a weird schedule. Jury selection on a Friday, three days on evidence the following week, with another day of evidence the week after that, so yeah…it was kind of ridiculous.

Exactly! I really had to work up to the idea of spending that much on a watch. I know that’s cheap as far as watches go, but that’s still a lot of money!

Yeah I realized afterwords that I should have mentioned other strap options.

I have wondered how many defendants in ambiguously evidenced trials win or lose due to the skill of those involved as opposed to justice being served.

In an ideal world, ambiguously evidenced cases wouldn’t even get charged, and to be fair, there are several layers of checks and balances in place to try to protect the innocent from getting wrongly convicted, but of course it happens. No one wants to see that nightmare occur, so we do all we can to try to prevent it from ever happening.
