If you’re looking for a great read about watches, the history of time keeping and our relationship with these fascinating machines, I can’t recommend this book enough. The author is a tradition watchmaker in the UK and has a PhD on the subject, and she’s a really good writer to boot. My only regret is that I’m not rich enough to be one of her clients!

I just ordered a copy of this. Looking forward to reading it.
Thanks! Put it on my to read 📚 list
I bought a digital version of this! Haven't yet started it but looking forward.
100% agree. I just finished listening to the audio book last week. History, watch mechanics, industry dynamics, and the author's story woven into a great book.
