Hello. New to the site here. Always been a watch enjoyer and have started a small collection just for fun. Mostly “affordable” budget stuff. So I see...
I came across this the same way. As a non-owner can I ask if it's comfortable with that odd shape. It kinda reminds me of an old diver's helmet for some reason, lol.

So funny. That's exactly me. Can't decide on a color. Grey looks really great and is different. The blue fits the dive look and the traditional black is always cool. I think maybe it's "mixed nature" is what holds me up. Is it a dive watch without a bezel? Is it a dress watch (especially the grey) that looks dive-y, lol?
Not a lot of experience but a +1 for the inexpensive repair kits (based on doing basic stuff on "inexpensive" watches). They're basically the same tools of lesser quality. Which means they pretty much work. With the kit and an inexpensive watch press I've done a whole bunch of adjusting and battery changes recently with no issues. I did spring for better tweezers than were in the kit, lol.
That being said I'd probably spend the money on the pricey tools if I was working on $$$$ watches.
I'd say regular G Shock if dinner is not too formal. Otherwise Timex if you want analog for dinner, lol. I'd would have said CasiOak if it was a different color.
