Orient Kamasu + Modded / Upgraded Review

This is my first ever automatic diver watch. It has sapphire crystal + in house movement. For the price of around $200 this is surely a great value.
However this watch is a little bit lacking to be called a perfect watch, this is because of its aluminum bezel which is prone to scratches.
I wore my watch brutally, I am a clumsy person... I bang my watch to the door knob, drawer, and many other hard objects.
For a year this watch almost never left my wrist. I love this watch so much so I spend around $100 for a strapcode super jubilee bracelet. Which cost almost a half the price of this orient.
In 2021, Long Island Watch released a bezel mod for this watch. With the coin edge bezel mod, we could fit seiko skx bezel insert to its bezel. Without delaying a day, I ordered the bezel mod and of course, I picked a ceramic bezel insert.
So here it is Ladies and Gentleman.... the Perfect Kamasu for me.
Sapphire crystal, super jubilee bracelet with solid end link and also a ceramic bezel insert!!!
My life is complete with this daily beater.

The diameter of this watch is 41.6mm, the lug width is 22mm.
The Diameter with if we include the crown is 44.9mm.
The Initial Lug to Lug of this watch is 46.5 mm, very slightly longer than seiko skx007 which has 46mm lug to lug width.
(Please note that these measurement by different people with different caliper could be different but only about less than 1% value or around 0.5 mm )
However if you put strapcode super jubilee bracelet, its endlink will extend the lug to lug width to 52.5 mm.

Anytime anyone asks for a recommendation for a budget dive watch I always go with the Kamasu. Best watch at it’s price point in my opinion.
