Neo-Vintage Grails

Hey guys, I’m curious to hear what your (20-30yr old) grail watches are.

I’m personally unable to get this 1998-2002 Omega De Ville Prestige Jump Hour out of my mind. The fact that this could technically be a birth year watch for me too if I were able to get one in the correct year makes it that much more enticing. I love the gorgeous dial patter, texture, and color. The lighting fast jumping hour never gets old to see in action, paired with the minute hand’s window you get to see the jump every time if you’re watching close enough.

I’m not currently in a position where this would be a sensible purchase, but I hope that someday the time will come where I can both afford and find the right piece to bring into the collection.

I’d love for you to share pictures and reasons for what your semi-vintage grail watches are!

I've achieved it! Only 75 made, and out of my price range had I not sold a few pieces at the right time that one popped on market. Never thought it possible for me to have one

Congrats! The unit count make things that much more exciting to finally get your hands on. Personally a blue dial is something my watchbox is currently lacking.

Have to stop myself from always listing after blue dials first 😂

The jump hour Omega is very fun in the metal, wears wonderfully! Hopefully the opportunity presents itself for you, it's a great choice to chase!

My "accidental grail" which happens to be neo-vintage. It makes anything else look like terrible value to me. Since I bought it I've had no interest in anything over $500.

I’m such a sucker for crescent pointer dates! That’s a beautiful watch my friend

Thanks. The stepped bezel case is also very neo-vintage/shamelessly ripped off from the revived 80s Blancpain under Biver.

I'm also a sucker for crescent pointer dates. Here's another neo-vintage one, the OG pointer date from Oris which launched their turn back to mechanical watchmaking.

Got a very similar watch! Not the same movement but same line of watch.

This is an amazing looking watch. Good luck in obtaining one some day. I would definitely do a birth year version if possible.

A great grail to have on your list! Prices are pretty reasonable considering what you get with that jump hour version too.

I’ve never seen such a piece before from Omega…. Looks stunning!

I was born in 88, and this might be me being oblivious to what’s out there, but I don’t have anything that I like so far from that year. I have, however, this beauty in mind…. But never been able to see one for sale.

It’s a Seamaster Deville with a blue pattern dial.
