NWA - Farer Durham Pollman
Proud to finally be a member of the prestigious “Green Dial Club” here on WC. This is an EARLY birthday present to myself but hey whatever you gotta do to justify a watch am I right??
I’ve been wanting a dressier watch and/or green dial for a while now so when I recently visited Farer’s site and stumbled upon this piece I was hooked. I’ve been trying to practice impulse control and have been doing pretty well if I do say so myself so originally thought I would hold off until my birthday (July😅) before buying another watch. That was when I realized that Farer only had one more Pullman in stock from the 100 examples originally produced. I then did what any reasonable guy would do, set my phone down and hopped in the shower for some deep contemplation+deliberation… Well I guess you already know how the story ends because I hopped right back out of the shower and smacked the place order button before my hair was even dry.
Affter receiving it this morning I’ve been enjoying every angle of it in the sun as the slightly different shades, polishes and brushes all play slightly different than each other. It’s my first manual watch making it also pleasing to look at through the display case back and the winding is oh so satisfying. Tonight it will accompany my wife and I to a Chef’s Night Out event so it couldn’t have picked a better day to arrive.
