commented on Tudor QC is… bad? ·

My Pelogos 39mm has been perfect so far. +2 sec/day and the time grapher shows no beat error, and a strong amplitude. I can find no defects on the watch outside of the fact that the hands have Lume that is slightly darker than the rest of the watch's markings

the Glashutte and IWC have the same push-button logo on the outside of the clasp, works perfectly. Tudor has a nice one too, with an inside adj. slider. Once you go micro-adjust, you can never go back! LOL!

remember that chronographs need not be thick. It is mostly through laziness on part of the manufacturers that they continue to make bulky watches. 70 years ago, most watches were VERY thin. As for today, a great example is the FP1185 movement. It is a robust, beautiful flyback, column-wheel automatic chronograph. I have several Blancpains and Cartiers with this movement and they are all WR and around 10mm thick. There is nothing special about the 1185 that cannot be done by any manufacturer today.

Sinn. Great watch. And they have a few that have nicer dials so they don't look so "outdoorsy"

I've gotten receipts for every luxury watch that I have had serviced by the parent company. Even the jerks at Patek give you something. I think they address it to "Mr. Peasant" tho.

yes, it is important. Depending on your physiology, your wrist can swell/contract 10% or more in response to temps and time of day. I especially love the IWC/Glashutte/Lange system with the button on the clasp.

No discussion of military watches would be complete without mentioning Zodiac. From Vietnam on, they were always available in PXs and Exchanges and were quite popular. It is one of the few I see outside of various Casios that are still being worn.
