Glycine Airman Vintage 'The Chief' GL0303

My Flieger Friday needed my Glycine GL0303 on wrist which felt a little M.I.A. Paired on a grey elastic strap with blue center stripe which goes pretty well with the grey dial and blued handset. Cheapestnatostraps showed it configured differently that didn't make as much sense to me. I configured it to be like original Watch Steward style which works better.

All I got to add is the Glycine Airman series are underrated charmers.

Nice watch, looking to add an Airman to my stable. Meanwhile, will be hanging around with my combat sub! :))

I've primarily been Airman only. But, have been curious to try a combat sub for a while, also. I do have one, finally, incoming soon.

I had Purist Airman 18 also before. Great model, also! Wish they made more and new ones.

Question: my first airman arrived yesterday. Ordered online. Never saw one in-person, but they were cheap enough (and looked great enough online) to risk it.

Question: on yours, does the bezel clamp down firm, or still have a little wiggle in it when clamped down? Mine has some wiggle, but I don’t want to waste time making a fuss if they’ll just tell me that’s normal.

Apart from that, in love this watch!

I don't recall ever having a loose or wiggly bezel lock. And, I've owned many. What you may want to check is if the teeth of the lock lines up with the teeth around the bezel. If slightly misaligned, it may not interlock entirely, if you understand my meaning.

To be clear, when clamped down, should be tight. When open and unclamped, it can have a wiggle or looseness.. gives it a little range to lock down securely without necessarily being precisely lined up.

I think if there's any wiggle or looseness, perhaps the crown to lock the bezel down hasn't been completely turned down?

Thanks for the help. I’ll be clear:

I’ve turned it tight as I reasonably can with my fingers, and done so with the bezel turned to multiple positions. Bezel is never firm. Sounds like you’re confirming that’s a defect?

I can't personally confirm anything. However, it does sound like the locking crown mechanism is sub par. If it bugs you enough, I suggest a return or exchange.

I took a video of what's it's doing...

Looking at the video objectively, they can't possible be expected behavior with the bezel lock tightened all the way.

So, you're talking about the bezel itself? That still looks looser than I've ever experienced with any of my airmans
