Sometimes it just works.
I have been modding watches for about a year now and there's been some growing pains. Learning the basics was both fun and frustrating in equal measure. I found out quick that your vision isn't always going to pan out. Sometimes a part won't fit, or won't match the build. Other times you build the watch and it turns out it's just not your vibe.
And sometimes it just works.
I picked this 62mas style case because of it's dimensions and finish. The case is 40mm with a lug to lug of 47.4mm. The lug width at 20mm is 👌. These dimensions are great for a compact diver for smaller wrists. Unique to most 62mas models, the case has beveled edges much more pronounced than it's Seiko counterparts. I actually like it much better.
The bold white indices match perfectly with the large white numerals on the ceramic bezel.
The bracelet that I bought for this initially had male end-links and protruded too much for my liking. This Milanese bracelet fixes that problem.
I've built a handful of watches at this point, but this one just worked out. The size, the fit, thematically. Everything coexisting in harmony. The Japanese Kanji dial text and date wheel just Seals the deal in my opinion.

I agree. The design elements obviously play off other watches(Tudor Pelagos, Seiko 62mas) but, combined it creates a whole new silhouette. I do like it alot.
Love the Tokeilabs stuff. I have a bezel insert coming from them and a bezel from DLW for my Orient Ray II (Raven) that I want to look like that WOE black Pelagos!!!
