Slighty off topic, recommendations on watch winders

Does anyone have a good recommendation for a watch winder brand that isn't going to break the bank.  I bought one that holds 4.  The interval I have it set on is Clockwise for 4 minutes, stop for 28 minutes. Counter-Clockwise for 4 minutes, stop for 28 minutes. (12 hours on, 12 hours off).  It somehow doesn't seem enough.  Thanks for any recommendation

I don't use winders anymore following the shocking revelation that they were putting excessive wear on my watches.  Instead, I simply do the Seiko shuffle or give the crown a few turns once a week.  This is enough to keep the lubricants distributed but not putting the excessive wear on the winding components of the watches.

Never use them, don't see the point.

Unless you have watches that are a real pain in the butt to set, there really isn't any need for a watch winder. If you feel you need one, the general recommendation seems to be to make sure that it's programmable so that you can set it differently based on the watches you plan to use in it. I picked up a pre-owned Orbita winder just to use as an "active" display for a watch, and use the watch database from their web site to determine how to set it for whatever watch I happen to have in it. It sits empty most of the time.

I picked it up pre-owned for $200 CDN, so I paid considerably less than the $695 USD MSRP, but even at that I guess it wasn't the smartest purchase I've ever made 😉

winders should be on timers so they put a half wind into them every day. Just enough to keep them from stopping and the lubricants stay on the parts.

I own two, one is from Jins&Vico that hold 8 watches and the other consists of modular cubes from boxy that I can arrange or expand as I like.

I don't consider either of them as a necessity. They are more like conversation pieces or kinetic displays, which is nice.
