Elliott Brown?

Hi Cruncher's, came across this and quite like the look of it?? Anyone had any experience with the brand as I know nothing about them? It's a cheapish Rhona Quartz and mineral crystal but ceramic bezel and I'm weirdly attracted to it???? Would love to hear my friendly Cruncher's thoughts!

Perfect thanks fella will have a good look!

Got a whiff of Blancpain about it imho. Looks good 👍🏻👍🏻

@solidyetti is basically their brand ambassador on WC, I’m sure he could share some thoughts!

Scottish Watches did a podcast interviewing several of their senior staff earlier this week, it was a good listen and very insightful to the brand

I am also highly attracted to it! Details and finish look really good! Lets go British watchmaking! 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

Fantastic microbrand, IMO.

Make great tool watches. And their women's line is rather nice as well, tough, tool-y, without being overtly masculine and/or same watch but with a flower dial.

Almost positive they use sapphire.

My two favorite models they make are the Holton Pro and the Beachmaster.

The Holton Pro is the best bang for buck SF "unit" style watch. (SBS)

The Beachmaster, mine is the NIVO quartz variant at the moment, has absolutely the coolest complication of any watch, my .02¢.

GMT, mission countdown/countup tracker, countdown bezel, legible dial. (Once you get used to all that you can read).

Seriously, the 2 o'clock crown to adjust the mission timer is awesome.

As far as stressful testing goes, EB not only uses off the shelf, fresh out of box watches, but they've sent them to the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico, dropped them into stuff, and blown them up.

Not to mention on some models, they use surface hardening, if that matters.

If I could only wear two watches forever, it would be my Lorier Falcon, and the Founders Edition auot Beachmaster.

Here's my #wruw for today.

Also not affiliated with them, and have purchased everything with my own money.

TBH, for what I need a watch to do, I'd pick this over a G Shock and/or Seiko any day.

😂 I do like them 😄 , not afraid to admit I'm biased, cuz they did actually explosive test a watch, which is right up my alley. 👀🤏🏻

Also to @KeithO I think they are fairly priced for what you get, YMMV tho.

Personally, I like them for their relative affordability AND how tough they are in the real world.

Peeps like to complain about quartz but in a hard use environment, quartz is gonna have some advantages to an auto movement. Even an auto with shock protection.

So a quartz with shock protection is waaaay better.

Also this is one of my favorite features, and I love how they include this, cuz you know peeps would complain and DEFINITELY say this is a con...🤘🏻😂

Wow, what can I say, great feedback on my post which I really appreciate! Being a Brit I'm a bit embarrassed I wasn't across this brand as much as I should be but you have certainly given me confidence to purchase, I'm now off to study the website in Ernest! Thanks very much for taking the time to reply, cheers!

Of course dude.

You got any other questions, send em here or DM.

Honestly I'd say hear, so others can see them and/or respond.

If you like the look of it and the quality is relative to cost? Then that’s the watch for you 👍

Out of interest I have 7.1/2 inch wrist, is the bracelet one that has to be cut to size?

Muy bonita pieza, si esta a buen precios no lo pienses mucho. Al menos x fotos parecen buenas terminaciones y ese fondo de caja está espectacular

This specific type, the Elliot Brown Tropic, yes.

But if you look up the specs it explains how to, and it works.

The underside is ore scored and you cut one side at a time, reattach, then use micro adjust holes. If not good enough, cut other side, repeat.

Very good fit.

For the dive to the bottom of the Gulf, they only tested the regular silicone variant..it is waaaaaaay heavier built.

But the tropic is pre curved and quite comfortable.
